Sunshine upgraded its existing Max Carwash App, created by Liquid Barcodes, to Sunshine Brand featuring a special fuel pay program that allows consumers to conveniently pay for fuel using the app and purchase car wash subscriptions and more!
Customers simply drive in, open the app, choose the fuel pump number, link their bank account (once) which activates the pump, and fuel up and go. The app was upgraded again in early 2024.
In a highly unique decision, Sunshine has opted to accept only ACH transactions on the fuel pay app using the Liquid Barcodes proprietary program C-StorePay to quickly authenticate bank account information in just five simple steps that take less than a minute to complete and authenticate. Other apps in the convenience and fuel retailing industry require upwards of thirteen steps, collecting many points of personal data, and a 2-day waiting period for bank authorization.
Customers can also buy carwash subscription plans within the app. Sunshine deployed a subscription car wash program in January 2021 with great success.
The Sunshine Gasoline app also engages customers offering a once-daily free wash game for all users!
The Sunshine app also conveniently offers a station locater map and friend referral with a sweet reward.
Launched in October 2022, C-StorePay is an innovative product that makes paying for fuel, in-store merchandise, and subscription programs easy and frictionless for customers while lowering credit card fees for retailers.
C-StorePay accepts ACH payments for fuel pay which instantly reduces retailer card processing fees by more than half, in addition to credit and debit cards. Payments are processed by payment service providers (PSP) and are guaranteed safe, thereby giving customers and retailers peace of mind relying on the PSP’s track record of fraud protection and data authentication.
