FastLane becomes the newest retailer to join the subscription economy by offering monthly subscriptions for car and truck washing.
FastLane offers customers a monthly subscription option for car and truck washing to deliver a frictionless and contactless solution for customers and build recurring revenue for the business.
Warrenton Oil Company, headquartered in Truesdale, Missouri, operates 59 FastLane convenience stores throughout the state in addition to WOCO Transportation LLC, hotels, food service operations, and car and truck washes. Warrenton Oil Company operates 17 car wash locations and one FastLane Truck Wash location.
FastLane is the first in the Midwest US to offer a truck wash subscription program, opening up a whole new revenue stream for fleet customers in a bay that is large enough to service semi-trucks and trailers, fuel tankers, motorhomes, travel trailers, equipment on flatbed trailers and more.
Warrenton Oil Company commented, “We are excited to offer not only a fast and easy car wash subscription program but our region’s first truck wash subscription program. Customers are pleased to know they have full access to purchase and manage subscriptions from their mobile device, not in person like most car wash tunnel competitors.”
How the Monthly Subscription Works
Customers subscribe to the FastLane car wash subscription program through the existing FastLane app and select from several car wash subscription packages for a contactless car wash experience.
Members can join directly in the FastLane app and select from three different plans (Protect, Shine, and Clean). Users’ monthly payment date initiates on the join date. The plan auto-renews every month and can be updated or canceled at any time, though the subscription will continue until the end of that month’s term.
The subscription can be used at any FastLane automatic car wash twice daily. The truck wash subscription can be used 6 times per month at the one FastLane TruckWash location
To use, the member will click “Activate Wash” in the app and then scan the QR code on the portal at the car wash bay. The user will receive a “success” message on the app and the payment terminal will indicate when to start the wash process.
The payment processing is provided by Stripe and accepts credit cards and ApplePay.
Recruiting Users for Monthly Subscription
FastLane debuted a new loyalty app and promotions were plentiful in and outside the store to attract users.
FastLane promoted the car wash subscription program on Facebook, too.
