In 2023, Old Irish Pub launched one of the coolest loyalty apps to hit the bar scene anywhere in the world. Customers earn rewards for hanging out, playing games, and having cocktails and beers! Cheers to that!
Old Irish Pub, styled after traditional Emerald Isle establishments in Ireland, is Scandinavia’s largest chain of pubs, headquartered in Denmark, and operates 38 locations in the Netherlands, Finland, Spain, Denmark, Norway, and soon in Germany. The app is available in English with apps customized for each of the five countries.

The Old Irish Pub opened a new location recently in Enschede, Netherlands. To promote the app and engage customers, a ‘wheel of fortune’ game was introduced that allows members to earn coins daily. 10 coins wins a free Flugel shot and 20 coins results in a 10 Euros discount.

New members who download the app start as bronze members and are rewarded with a signup reward.
After ten points, silver members earn one free drink (one per week). Members climb reward tiers with every 10 points. Gold members receive one free weekly drink, shot, and entry fast track. Platinum members receive even more benefits with free drinks, clothing (wardrobe), and free entrance to pubs (no cover charge).
In addition to points, Old Irish Pub members are rewarded with digital stamps for purchases on each visit. When a member buys five drinks (draft beer or cocktail), they get one free! When purchasing other items, users can receive points, as well. Users receive points for visits and stamps if the products are related to draft beers or cocktails, but not with other products.

In just 2 weeks after the store opening launch, more than 500 new members joined the program, growing almost 800%!
Throughout September, in addition to games, a daily quiz offered members easy questions allowing them to earn even more coins!
With such a successful launch in Scandinavia, the Netherlands and Spain, Old Irish Pub is excited to extend this program to new pubs soon opening in Germany.
