Estonia’s R-Kiosk Gets Into the Holiday Spirit
R-Kiosk in Estonia, operated by Reitan Retail in the Nordic and Baltic regions, recently launched a Halloween campaign to motivate and engage members.
The R-Kiosk “Hallowheel” game began Halloween week and offers app users a free pumpkin spice latte for spinning the wheel and landing on the winning slot.
The goal for all of these holiday campaigns is to increase app opening rates and encourage in-store visits. Members will purchase additional items in-store to complement the free item they won. And gaming is fun! Winners want to keep winning and will keep playing!
7-Eleven Denmark Gives Sweet Treats
7-Eleven Denmark is also in the Halloween spirit and launched their “Hallowheeel” game during Halloween week. Game players win sweet candy treats for landing on the special prize slot on the wheel.
7-Eleven Denmark is Denmark’s leading convenience retailer with approximately 200 stores and partnerships such as Shell/7-Eleven and DSB/7-Eleven (Denmark’s national train operator).
Brezelkönig Gets Into the Halloween Spirit
Brezelkönig, a popular food service chain of stores that sells delicious hand-made pretzels in over sixty locations throughout Switzerland, also launched a Halloween campaign to motivate and engage members.
App users can spin the “Hallowheel” to win a sweet pretzel!
The Brezelkönig app is designed to reward customers for their frequency, with three tiers to enjoy. Every visit earns one “crown”, and a free product is awarded for every ten crowns collected. Crowns are collected automatically when the sales staff scan the QR code of the customer card in the app.
With the added fun of a spin-and-win game, users are drawn into the app to win prizes, purchase products, and advance tiers to the next reward level. And, users can celebrate with a free pretzel on their birthdays!
Holidays Are a Fun Time to Celebrate Members
Last year, the Liquid Barcodes team worked with another customer, Wenzel’s The Bakers, a London bakery with 90 locations, to run a Christmas campaign.
With the help of the experts at Liquid Barcodes, Wenzel’s launched a Christmas campaign on its existing mobile app. With every in-store purchase of more than £5.50, customers were given a card with a code. Customers then entered that code on their mobile app and gained access to play a fun game. If they win, they can get either a free coffee or a free treat such as a sausage roll, jam donut, or Christmas sweet treat.
