Sampson Bladen Oil Company (dba Han-Dee Hugo’s) has chosen Liquid Barcodes as its full-service loyalty platform, featuring a robust customer loyalty program and a digital app-based car wash subscription service. Sampson Bladen Oil Company is headquartered in Clinton, North Carolina, and operates 125 convenience stores with 25 car washes.

 

The Solution

In partnership with Liquid Barcodes and Rovertown, Han-Dee Hugo's launched an engaging loyalty app that puts customers at the center of the experience.

  • A store locator map
  • Rewards and perks for birthdays, and friend referrals
  • Gamification 

Han-Dee Hugo’s operates on Verifone’s point-of-sale system which ensures seamless integration thanks to Liquid Barcode’s recent Verifone loyalty integration certification.

The back-end application integrates with product scan data to ensure age-restricted products are accurately and appropriately marketed with a reporting loop to the respective organizations.

Han-Dee Hugo's is a division of Sampson-Bladen Oil Company, headquartered in Clinton, North Carolina.

Established in 1936, Sampson-Bladen entered into the convenience store market in 1980 with the opening of the first Han-Dee Hugo's location in Southeastern North Carolina, originally offering UNOCAL-branded gasoline.

In 1993, Han-Dee Hugo's expanded into the Raleigh-Durham market through the acquisition of nine BP convenience store locations. This milestone also marked the introduction of the company's first car wash, reflecting its continued commitment to enhancing customer experience.

Since then, Han-Dee Hugo's has grown to 125 convenience stores across the state with 23 car wash facilities and numerous Subway and Little Caesars locations.
