7-Eleven Norway is one of Norway's leading convenience retailers with close to 200 stores. Part of the Reitan Convenience group, which operates more than 2,350 stores across Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia, 7-Eleven Norway selected Liquid Barcodes to power its app.
The widely varying margins across convenience products made a blanket loyalty approach impractical for 7-Eleven Norway. The retailer needed a program that delivered full margin control while still engaging a broad range of customers, including a key student segment that required exclusive and relevant offers.
7-Eleven Norway chose a product-oriented customer program where stamp cards are the primary value drivers. App users receive a wide range of offers, games, and content that engage, promote and reward, layered on top of the stamp card experience.
Registration requires only a phone number and PIN via SMS. Students receive exclusive deals accessible only through the 7-Eleven app.
The NCR Retalix POS integrates with the Liquid Barcodes system using existing in-store hardware. Stamps and offers from both the app and paper coupons are registered by scanning unique codes at the POS, and stores are compensated based on reports from Liquid Barcodes and the POS.
7-Eleven is Scandinavia’s leading convenience chain, which has been present in Sweden since 1984, in Norway since 1986 and in Denmark since 1993. Today, Reitan Convenience has more than 370 7‑Eleven shops, centrally located at traffic hubs, in urban neighborhoods and along roadways.
