The Smith Oil Company loyalty program rivals, if not exceeds, the apps of some of its largest regional competitors featuring digital stamps, fuel pay, store locator, friend referral, and more.

In late 2022, Smith Oil Company initially deployed a fuel pay mobile solution, also created by Liquid Barcodes, featuring a special fuel pay program that allows consumers to conveniently pay for fuel using the app. Customers simply drive in, open the app, choose the fuel pump number, link their bank account (once) which activates the pump, and fuel up and go.

The Challenge

Smith Oil partnered with Liquid Barcodes to launch a branded mobile app combining mobile fuel payment with a comprehensive digital loyalty program. The solution enabled customers to pay at the pump directly from the app while earning rewards, stamps, and incentives for continued engagement.
